  1. Always know what you are trying to capture ex. sports, wildlife, portraits, etc.
  2. Make sure you know what your budget is if you are purchasing a lense
  3. Make sure you know the different brands and your research before completing the purchase
  4. If you want to capture landscapes its best to use a wide angle camera meaning a 10mm to 35mm
  5. When using a 14mm its best to use a f/2.8
  6. When using an 16-35mm its best to use a f/2.8
  7. When using an 14 mm its best to use a f/1.4
  8. When using a standard lense which is 35 mm to 85 mm it can capture great portraits if you zoom into the telephoto end
  9. Telephoto lense gets close to the subject without you moving
  10. Telephoto works best for people or subjects which can get overwhelmed or you simply just can’t approach them
  11. Telephoto compress everything making everything seem closer
  12. Wide-angle lenses may distort the perspective and make things look separate
  13. Telephoto lens may make the scenery seem flat
  14. Telephoto lense are very good for sports, nature and wildlife
  15. For sports its best to use a 70mm to 200 mm with an f/2.8
  16. If aiming to shoot like a pro you can use a 300 mm with an f/4
  17. You can use a macro lens to shoot tiny or very small object
  18. shooting architecture can be shot by a tilt-shift lense
  19. each subject has a specific lense its just knowing which lense is for what
  20. Don’t be drawn to the most expensive camera because it might not work for what you want it for, make sure you know what you want to shoot so you know what lense to buy.
